my experience

I am a San Francisco based multidisciplinary designer with an enthusiastic focus in UX, product, visual design and other emerging technologies. 

In the course of my design career, I have worked for leading fortune 500 companies to drive major initiatives and see many projects through to launch. My previous opportunities have required me to demonstrate my leadership capacities, collaborative strengths and innovative creativity. I appreciate interactive design models, and though I work well in these kinds of environments, I also thrive as an independent self-starter.

I have a passion for being immersed in the full lifecycle of end to end projects. Whether I'm in the ground-level stages of discovery work, interacting with cross-disciplinary partners, gathering insights from user research or producing final deliverables, I'm fascinated by the learning, inspiration and rewards that come from these design phases.

Ultimately, I am always curious to question and then question some more. I embrace interactions with multiple groups of partners because I believe that there is much to learn from diverse perspectives. I honor user needs and make this a habitual practice and mindset in my daily work.

I am currently designing for ebay on the Managed Payments Intermediation team.

FRAME & UNDERSTAND THE STORY

Effective communication is a fundamental method in framing the story. I aim to create a pitch that adequately addresses the problem(s) to solve, user audience, and possible solutions. To me, this sets the groundwork for discovery. Storytelling is critical in receiving buy-in from multiple stakeholders. Effective presentation establishes the tone for new potential impact, innovation, and enhancements.

EMPATHIZE, IDEATE, DEVELOP

At the core of great UX design, the customer is a prime focus. I strive to formulate a vision that will adhere to customers' needs and preferences. Through journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing, I can more easily designate elements that capture the best solutions. With this customer-centric approach, conceptualization gradually evolves into new useful realities.

VISUALLY ENGAGE & SIMPLIFY

Sophisticated design helps users to identify with products while also establishing a strong brand voice and emotional value. Beyond the importance of competent interactions, strong visual hierarchy and consistency adds delight. My aspiration is to continually form compelling interfaces that are simple, elegant, approachable and unique. With this emphasis on creating strong visual design, the experience is further enriched.
